Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Waterproofing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of waterproofing techniques, materials, and industry standards, with a focus on ensuring structures are protected from water infiltration. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity and durability of buildings and infrastructure by applying waterproofing systems effectively.


Duties

Assessment and Inspection

  • Conduct thorough assessments of buildings and structures to identify potential waterproofing needs.
  • Inspect existing waterproofing systems for damage or deterioration and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Analyze building plans and specifications to determine appropriate waterproofing methods and materials.

Application of Waterproofing Systems

  • Prepare surfaces for waterproofing applications by cleaning, repairing, and priming as necessary.
  • Apply various waterproofing materials and systems, including membranes, coatings, sealants, and drainage systems, according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Ensure the application process is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Project Management

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop waterproofing solutions that meet project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily logs, inspection reports, and material inventory.

Quality Control and Compliance

  • Conduct quality control checks on completed waterproofing projects to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in waterproofing technologies, materials, and techniques.

Customer Interaction

  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing information about waterproofing options, project timelines, and maintenance requirements.
  • Address client concerns and provide solutions to ensure satisfaction with waterproofing services.

Training and Development

  • Train and mentor junior staff and laborers in waterproofing techniques and safety protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in waterproofing technologies and methods.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in waterproofing or related fields are preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Waterproofing Specialist or similar role in the construction or maintenance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of waterproofing materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
