Overview

A Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing various tasks within a warehouse or distribution center to ensure efficient operation and organization of inventory. Duties

# Inventory Handling:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Stock shelves and bins with incoming inventory.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy.

# Order Picking and Packing:

  • Retrieve items from shelves or bins according to pick lists or customer orders.
  • Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

# Shipping and Receiving:

  • Prepare outgoing shipments for pickup or delivery.
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from trucks or delivery vehicles.

# Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items to supervisor.
  • Assist with restocking inventory as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.

# Warehouse Maintenance:

  • Keep warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software or systems is a plus.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
