Overview

Duties
Receiving and Unloading:

Inventory Management:
- Warehouse workers organize and store received items in designated locations within the warehouse using appropriate storage methods and equipment.
- They conduct regular cycle counts and inventory checks to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies or shortages.
Order Picking and Packing:
- Warehouse workers retrieve items from storage locations based on pick lists, work orders, or customer orders using handheld scanners or picking equipment.
- They pack items securely and accurately according to customer specifications, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and documentation.
Shipping and Loading:
- Warehouse workers prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels, to accompany outgoing shipments.
- They load outgoing shipments onto delivery trucks or transport vehicles, ensuring proper stacking, weight distribution, and securing of goods.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and operating material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail to accurately check inventory, verify shipments, and maintain organized storage areas.
- Basic communication skills to interact with coworkers, supervisors, and occasionally vendors or delivery drivers.
