Overview
The Tile Layer, also known as a Tile Setter or Tiler, is responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, or natural stone tiles on various surfaces such as floors, walls, and countertops. Duties
# Surcace Preparation:
- Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing as needed.
- Apply primer or waterproofing membranes as required.
- Ensure that surfaces are suitable for tile installation according to industry standards.
# Tile Layout and Design:
- Plan and design tile layouts to achieve desired patterns and aesthetics.
- Calculate tile quantities and estimate materials needed for each project.
- Consult with clients or designers to ensure that tile designs meet their specifications.
# Tile Installation:
- Install tiles using appropriate adhesives and techniques.
- Cut tiles to fit around obstacles or create custom designs as needed.
- Ensure proper alignment and spacing of tiles for a professional finish.
# Grouting and Finishing:
- Apply grout to fill gaps between tiles and create a seamless finish.
- Clean excess grout and polish tiles to achieve the desired appearance.
- Seal grout lines and tile surfaces as required for protection and durability.
# Quality Control and Inspection:
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Address any defects or issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tile Layer or similar role in the construction or remodeling industry.
