Overview

Perform job duties that may include forming, fabricating, erecting, and erecting structural steel. Place, align, and align steel sections and shapes to form reinforcing bar work. Cut, cut, and straighten tubing. Load, unload, and provide support for steel.


Duties

Crafting System

  • Attain diverse professional experience from working in various craft disciplines in maintenance, turnaround and new construction projects. Handle power tools including TIG and gas welding systems.

Cutting Material

  • Cut rods to require lengths, using metal shears, hacksaws, bar cutters, or acetylene torches. Assemble steel for hangar bay doors on military bases MIG welding according to blueprints and schematics

Surface Casting

  • Operate hoists in order to move castings or roll and turn castings when necessary to make surfaces accessible. Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches and hand tools.

Measurement & Operation

  • Employ a wide variety of hand and power tools including hoists, drills, precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices. Involve with setting various stubs, beams, and columns to ensure safe dismantle and separation of modulars for highway transport.

Safety Regulations

  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Welding

  • Operate sheers and punch presses to manufacture clips and securement. Weld new connection clips, base plates on top of existing columns and other structural members.

Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Welding certifications and safety training Certificate required.
  • Prior experience in steelworking, construction, or a related field is an advantage
  • Proficiency in welding, cutting, and metalworking techniques
  • Strong focus on precision and quality in work
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to address issues on the job site.
  • Good verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
