Overview
As a Server, you will play a vital role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests receive outstanding service throughout their visit. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Duties
Guest Interaction
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus. Engage with guests to understand their preferences and make recommendations.
Order Management
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system. Ensure that all orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
Service Excellence
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to company standards. Monitor tables to ensure guests have everything they need and respond promptly to any requests.
Communication
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of orders. Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas for service.
Payment Processing
- Present checks to guests and process payments accurately using the POS system. Handle cash and credit transactions according to company policies.
Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with other servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment. Assist in training new staff members as needed.
Adherence to Policies
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to service and operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying items (up to 25 pounds).
