Duties

# Surveillance and Monitoring:

  • Maintain constant vigilance over the swimming pool area to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of patrons.
  • Scan the pool and surrounding areas regularly to identify any potential hazards or unsafe behaviors.
  • Monitor water quality and perform routine checks of pool equipment.

# Enforcement of Safety Rules:

  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure compliance and prevent accidents.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to patrons regarding safe swimming practices.
  • Address any unsafe behaviors or violations of pool rules promptly and courteously.

# Emergency Response:

  • Act quickly and decisively in the event of an emergency, such as a drowning or injury.
  • Administer first aid and CPR as needed.
  • Coordinate with emergency services and provide assistance as required.

# Communication and Customer Service:

  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with patrons.
  • Provide information and assistance to patrons regarding pool facilities and services.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operation of the pool area.

Qualifications:

  • Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.
  • Strong swimming skills and proficiency in water rescue techniques.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in lifeguarding or a related field preferred.
