Overview

The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of water and the proper disposal of waste through pipes, fixtures, and fittings.


Duties

# Installation and Repair:

  • Install and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, and appliances.
  • Follow blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and make necessary adjustments or repairs.

# Pipefitting and Assembly:

  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes to fit specific layouts and designs.
  • Assemble and install pipes and fittings using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Ensure proper alignment and connections to prevent leaks or malfunctions.

# Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

  • Identify and diagnose plumbing issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Determine the root cause of problems and develop effective repair solutions.
  • Communicate with clients to explain the nature of the problem and proposed repairs.

# Maintenance and Inspection:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent plumbing problems and extend the lifespan of systems.
  • Inspect plumbing systems for signs of wear, damage, or corrosion.
  • Clean and maintain fixtures, drains, and other plumbing components.

# Compliance and Safety:

Qualifications:
