Overview
The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of water and the proper disposal of waste through pipes, fixtures, and fittings.
Duties
Installation and Repair:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, or specifications to determine the layout and configuration of plumbing systems in new construction or renovation projects.
Pipefitting and Assembly:
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand or power tools to fit specific dimensions and layouts.
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and connection to meet plumbing code requirements.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
- Identify and diagnose plumbing problems such as leaks, clogs, or malfunctioning fixtures, using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Implement effective solutions to repair or replace damaged components and restore proper functionality to plumbing systems.
Maintenance and Inspection:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, flushing, or lubricating plumbing fixtures and equipment to prevent corrosion, buildup, or malfunctions.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues, assess their condition, and recommend preventive measures or repairs as needed.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications
