Overview
The Plasterer is responsible for applying plaster, stucco, or similar materials to interior and exterior surfaces to create smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing finishes. They play a crucial role in construction, renovation, and restoration projects, enhancing the appearance and durability of walls, ceilings, and other structures.
Duties
Surface Preparation:
- Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, leveling, and priming to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
- Repair cracks, holes, or imperfections in surfaces using plaster, putty, or other patching materials as needed.
Plaster Application:
- Mix plaster or stucco materials according to specified ratios and consistency requirements.
- Apply plaster to surfaces using trowels, brushes, or spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes.
Texturing and Finishing:
- Create decorative textures or patterns on plastered surfaces using tools, molds, or specialized techniques.
- Smooth, level, or polish plaster finishes to achieve desired textures, appearances, and durability.
Repair and Restoration:
- Repair or replace damaged plaster surfaces by patching, skim coating, or applying new layers of plaster.
- Restore historical or heritage buildings by matching existing plaster materials and finishes to maintain architectural integrity.

Qualifications
