Overview

Duties

# Pipe Installation:

  • Install and fit pipes according to project specifications and blueprints.
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipes as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure proper alignment and fit.

# Pipe Assembly and Jointing:

  • Assemble and join pipes using various techniques such as welding, soldering, and brazing.
  • Ensure proper sealing and connections to prevent leaks.
  • Conduct inspections to verify the integrity of joints.

# System Testing and Inspection:

  • Conduct pressure tests and inspections to verify system integrity.
  • Identify and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Document test results and communicate findings to the project team.

# Blueprint Reading and Layout:

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Layout and plan piping systems according to specifications.
  • Coordinate with other trades to optimize system layout and installation.

# Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability among team members.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter or similar role.
  • Proficiency in pipe installation, assembly, and jointing techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant certifications or training (e.g., welding certifications, OSHA certification) preferred.
