Overview

Duties

Packaging Preparation:

  • Packers receive products from production lines or storage areas and inspect them for quality and conformity to specifications.

Product Packing:

  • Packers carefully pack products into containers according to predetermined instructions, ensuring proper placement and arrangement to maximize space utilization and minimize damage during transportation.
  • They may use padding materials, such as bubble wrap or packing peanuts, to protect fragile items and prevent shifting during transit.

Labeling and Marking:

  • Packers affix labels, stickers, or barcodes to packaged items for identification, tracking, and inventory control purposes.
  • They may also use marking tools or printing devices to apply shipping information, lot numbers, or expiration dates on packaging.

Quality Control:

  • Packers conduct visual inspections of packaged items to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards.
  • They identify and address any discrepancies, defects, or damaged goods, and may reject or repackage items as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail when inspecting products, reading instructions, and packaging items to ensure accuracy and quality.
