Overview

Duties

Installation and Assembly

  • Millwrights are responsible for installing machinery and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications. This includes setting up, aligning, and leveling machines to ensure proper operation.
  • They may also assemble components and systems, using a variety of tools, including hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment.

Maintenance and Repair

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to identify issues before they lead to equipment failure. This may involve lubricating parts, tightening bolts, and replacing worn components.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform repairs on machinery and equipment as needed. This can include dismantling machinery, replacing faulty parts, and reassembling equipment.

Safety Compliance

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE), following lockout/tagout procedures, and ensuring that machinery meets safety standards.

Qualifications:
