Overview

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in the management and execution of the supply chain process, ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and on time. Duties

Coordinate Logistics Operations

  • The Logistics Coordinator will manage and streamline the logistics and supply chain processes. This includes overseeing the transportation of goods from suppliers to customers while ensuring that deliveries are made on time and within budget.
  • The coordinator will establish efficient routes and schedules, considering factors such as freight costs, delivery timeframes, and potential disruptions.

Monitor Shipments

  • The coordinator will track and analyze the status of shipments throughout the supply chain. This involves maintaining accurate records of deliveries and proactively communicating updates to internal stakeholders and customers. If issues arise, such as delays or damages, the Logistics Coordinator will work to resolve these problems swiftly to minimize impact on operations.

Manage Inventory

  • Effective inventory management is crucial in logistics. The Logistics Coordinator will oversee stock levels and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure that products are available when needed.
  • By utilizing inventory management software, the coordinator will analyze data to forecast demand, reduce excess stock, and optimize the supply chain.

Vendor Management

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers is essential. The Logistics Coordinator will negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to secure favorable terms for the company. Documentation

  • The coordinator will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all necessary shipping and logistics documentation.
