A Janitor is a professional who is a vital part of any business. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks. This can include mopping & vacuuming floors, disinfecting surfaces and restrooms and emptying trash and recycle cans.
Duties
Cleaning
- Janitors clean and disinfect floors, walls, ceilings, windows, and restrooms. They also dust furniture, blinds, and file cabinets.
Maintenance
- Janitors perform routine maintenance and inspections, and make minor repairs. They may also replace air filters and maintain HVAC systems and keeps the records of all resources and notifies management for new resources if required.
Safety
- Janitors has to follow safety rules and precautions, and notify management of any safety hazards or requirements of safety tools as needed to maintain safety at working area.
Grounds
- Janitors cleans and maintains outdoor grounds, including cutting grass, trimming bushes, and removing snow and debris. ensuring good plantation for better working environment.
Supplies
- Janitors maintains an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies, and order new products when needed in working areas.
Cooperation and communication
- Janitors cooperate and polite communication with other staff
Qualification:
- Proven working experience as a Janitor
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- High school degree
