Overview

A Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing construction and engineering projects on-site. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, ensuring project specifications are met, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during construction.


Duties

Site Management

  • Manage daily site activities, ensuring that all construction work aligns with project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols

Technical Support

  • Provide technical assistance and solutions to on-site personnel, addressing any engineering-related issues that may arise.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and other engineers to coordinate project activities and resolve conflicts.

Project Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and any changes to project plans.

Inspections

  • Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Data Analysis

  • Analyze data and reports related to project performance, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.

Training and Supervision

  • Assist in training field staff and ensuring that all team members are aware of safety protocols and project requirements.

Communication

  • Serve as the main point of contact between the field team and the office, facilitating effective communication regarding project status and challenges

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) is typically required.
  • Prior experience in construction or engineering, with familiarity in fieldwork and project management.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities on-site.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the project are completed accurately and safely.
