Overview

The Fast Food Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a clean, efficient, and enjoyable dining experience for guests. This position involves a variety of tasks, including taking customer orders, preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and handling cash transactions. Fast Food Attendants are expected to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding the standards of quality and service that our brand represents.


Duties

Customer Service

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders. Provide accurate information regarding menu items, promotions, and specials. Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner, striving for resolution and satisfaction. Ensure a positive dining experience by maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor.

Order Taking and Processing

  • Accurately take customer orders, both in-person and over the phone. Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system promptly. Suggest upsells and additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.

Food Preparation

  • Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards, ensuring portion control and quality. Operate kitchen equipment, such as grills, fryers, and ovens, while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain food safety standards by regularly checking and recording food temperatures, expiration dates, and cleanliness of food prep areas.

Cash Handling

  • Process payments accurately, including cash, credit/debit transactions, and gift cards. Maintain the cash register, ensuring it is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift. Issue receipts and manage change efficiently to provide a smooth transaction experience.

Cleanliness and Sanitation

  • Keep the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms clean and organized at all times. Follow health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation procedures. Regularly restock supplies such as napkins, utensils, and condiments to ensure availability for customers.

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members to achieve daily goals and maintain operational efficiency. Participate in training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. Assist in onboarding new employees by providing guidance and support.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management. Assist in receiving and storing food and supply deliveries. Help with inventory checks to ensure accuracy and freshness of stock.

Adherence to Policies

  • Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to employee conduct, safety, and customer service. Comply with local, state, and federal food safety regulations. Participate in ongoing training regarding new menu items and operational changes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience in food service or retail is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a fast food or customer service role is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience.
  • Capable of managing multiple orders and tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math for cash handling and order processing.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and support team efforts.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
