Duties
Client Consultations
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their skin type, concerns, and goals.
- Recommend personalized skincare routines and products based on individual needs.
Skincare Treatments
- Perform a variety of facial treatments, including cleansing, exfoliating, masking, and moisturizing.
- Administer body treatments such as wraps, scrubs, and detoxifying treatments.
- Provide hair removal services using methods such as waxing, sugaring, or threading.
Product Knowledge and Recommendations
- Stay up-to-date on the latest skincare products, techniques, and trends.
- Educate clients about product usage, benefits, and proper skincare practices.
- Recommend over-the-counter skincare products tailored to client needs.
Skin Analysis and Treatments
- Assess skin conditions and recommend appropriate treatments or referrals to dermatologists when necessary.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Sanitation and Safety
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all sanitation and hygiene regulations.
- Properly sterilize and care for tools and equipment used during treatments.
Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of client treatments, preferences, and progress.
- Document any allergies or reactions clients may have to products or treatments.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service by making clients feel comfortable and welcome.
- Handle client inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
Continuous Education
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and trade shows to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a state-approved esthetician training program and possession of a valid esthetician license.
- Prior experience in skincare or related fields is preferred but not always required.
- Proficiency in performing various skincare treatments and knowledge of skincare products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
- Meticulous attention to detail in skincare treatments and procedures.
- Ability to effectively recommend and sell skincare products to clients.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with treatments.
