Overview
The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods and materials from distribution centers or suppliers to customers or designated locations. They play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining vehicle safety, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties
# Loading and Unloading:
- Safely and efficiently loading and unloading products onto delivery vehicles.
- Ensuring that all products are securely and properly stored during transportation.
# Route Planning and Navigation:

- Using GPS and other navigation tools to navigate routes accurately and efficiently.
# Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conducting routine inspections and maintenance checks on delivery vehicles.
- Reporting any mechanical issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
# Customer Interaction:
- Providing excellent customer service during delivery and pickup.
- Addressing any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
# Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including dates, times, and quantities.
- Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Familiarity with route planning software and GPS devices is a plus.
