Duties
Hair Services
- Offer a full range of hair care services, including cutting, styling, coloring, and chemical treatments (e.g., perms, relaxers).
- Conduct consultations with clients to assess hair types and recommend styles or treatments that suit their needs and preferences.
- Perform hair treatments to improve texture, moisture, and scalp health, such as deep conditioning and keratin treatments.
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, color techniques, and tools to provide clients with modern and up-to-date styles.
Skincare Treatments
- Perform facial treatments and skincare consultations based on the client’s skin type, concerns, and goals.
- Offer services such as exfoliation, masks, anti-aging treatments, and basic spa facials to promote healthy skin.
- Recommend skincare routines and products for home care to help clients maintain glowing, healthy skin.
- Nail Services
- Provide manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, cuticle care, polish application, and hand/foot massages.
- Offer specialized nail services such as gel nails, acrylics, and custom nail designs to enhance the client’s experience.
Makeup Application
- Apply makeup for various occasions, from everyday looks to special events such as weddings, proms, or photoshoots.
- Provide clients with makeup consultations and personalized advice, including tips for makeup application techniques and product recommendations.
- Stay informed about current makeup trends and innovations to offer creative, modern styles.
Client Consultations & Service Recommendations
- Engage with clients to understand their beauty goals and preferences, conducting thorough consultations to recommend suitable services and products.
- Build strong relationships with clients by delivering excellent customer service, creating a comfortable and professional atmosphere.
- Provide follow-up advice for home care, recommending professional products or treatments to maintain results.
Sanitation & Hygiene
- Ensure that all tools, equipment, and workstations are cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Follow proper disinfection protocols for reusable equipment such as combs, scissors, and nail tools to prevent cross-contamination.
Continuous Learning & Professional Development
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and product advancements by attending workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
- Keep licenses and certifications up to date as required by local or state regulations.
Sales & Product Knowledge
- Promote and upsell salon products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and skincare items.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of product benefits and educate clients on how to use them effectively for optimal results.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid cosmetology license from a recognized institution or state board.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience as a cosmetologist is preferred.
- Experience in hair styling, skincare, or makeup application is advantageous.
