Overview
The Construction Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness on construction sites, ensuring that work areas are safe, organized, and free of debris. They play a crucial role in supporting construction projects by performing various cleaning tasks before, during, and after construction to promote a safe and productive work environment.
Duties
Site Cleanup:
- Clean and clear construction sites of debris, waste materials, and discarded items to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards.
- Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; remove dust, dirt, and other debris from surfaces; and dispose of trash and waste materials properly.
Surface Cleaning:
- Wipe down surfaces such as walls, windows, doors, and fixtures to remove dust, dirt, or construction residue.
- Clean and sanitize common areas such as break rooms, restrooms, and lunch areas to maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Final Touches:
- Perform final cleaning and touch-up tasks before project completion, ensuring that all areas are clean, presentable, and ready for occupancy or inspection.
- Remove stickers, labels, or protective coverings from surfaces; polish or shine fixtures; and make any necessary adjustments to achieve a finished appearance.
Material Handling:
- Assist with material inventory management by organizing, storing, and transporting construction materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Coordinate with construction crews and supervisors to ensure that cleaning activities do not interfere with ongoing work or project schedules.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage on construction sites.
