Overview
A Cleaner is responsible for performing cleaning and sanitation tasks in various settings, ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for occupants or visitors. They play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness standards and promoting health and wellness in residential, commercial, or institutional facilities.
Duties
# General Cleaning:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including countertops and appliances.
# Restroom Sanitation:
- Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
- Refill soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet paper rolls as needed.
- Empty and sanitize trash receptacles.
# Trash Removal:
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
- Replace trash liners and ensure bins are clean and odor-free.
# Surface Disinfection:
- Use appropriate cleaning agents to disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
- Follow established protocols for infection control and prevention.
# Floor Care and Maintenance:
- Strip, wax, and buff floors as needed.
- Perform spot cleaning and stain removal on carpets and rugs.
- Ensure floors are clean, dry, and free of hazards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial or residential cleaning preferred.
