Overview

A chemical operator plays a crucial role in the chemical manufacturing industry. We’re seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Chemical Operator. Your role involves monitoring, controlling, and adjusting machines that process chemical substances into industrial or consumer products


Duties

Monitoring and Control

  • Chemical operators oversee and manage the entire production process within a chemical manufacturing plant. They keep a watchful eye on Reactor systems, Chemical pumps, and Storage tanks.Operating production equipment according to established procedures.

Quality Control

  • During production, they perform quality control tests to ensure that the products meet required standards. Monitoring and adjusting controls for temperature, pressure, and other conditions.

Following Chemical Procedures

  • Chemical operators meticulously follow operational instructions, including batch records and standard operating procedures. Following safety procedures and company policies.

Safety and Cleanliness

  • Inspecting and maintaining equipment for safe operation. They maintain a clean work environment to comply with safety regulations.

Chemical Handling

  • Managing the receiving and loading of chemicals, ensuring proper storage and handling with keeping all precautions to prevent chemical damage at work area.

Record Keeping & Troubleshooting

  • When operational issues arise, chemical operators collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and find solutions. Keeping accurate records of production and maintenance of all production activities is essential to increase the efficiency.

Equipment Maintenance and Waste Disposal

  • They assist in equipment maintenance, scheduling repairs as needed. Ensuring proper disposal of waste materials to adhere to environmental regulations 12. Ensuring product quality and making necessary adjustments for improving the quality of materials.

Qualification:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment / chemical process knowledge, preferred.
  • Prior experience running a controls system, preferred.
  • Fluent English Communication skills
  • High School Diploma in Chemical Science
  • Good knowledge of computer and ability to make entries in automated systems
  • Basic safety awareness
  • Basic understanding of mathematics
  • Long periods of standing, walking and sitting
  • Ability to wear certified safety equipment, as required
  • Lifting capability of up to 50 pounds / 22kg
  • Ability to climbing ladders / stair
