Vehicle Operation:

• Safely operate a variety of heavy goods vehicles, including trucks and lorries, with a C license classification.

• Unload cargo at delivery locations, using appropriate equipment and following safety protocols.

Route Planning and Navigation:

• Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation systems, maps, or route planning software.
• Navigate through traffic and road conditions safely, adjusting routes as needed to avoid delays or hazards.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, checking for mechanical issues, fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and arrange for repairs or servicing as needed to keep the truck in good working order.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including trip logs, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, including weight limits, driving hours, and vehicle inspection requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid C category driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a truck driver or in a similar role preferred.
