Overview

Duties
Vehicle Operation:

- Load goods onto the lorry, ensuring proper distribution of weight, securement of cargo, and compliance with loading regulations.

Route Planning and Navigation:
- Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation systems, maps, or route planning software.
- Navigate through traffic and road conditions safely, optimizing routes to meet delivery schedules.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry, checking for mechanical issues, fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition.
- Report any maintenance needs or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, including weight limits, driving hours, and tachograph regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid C category driver's license with CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Previous experience as an HGV driver or lorry driver preferred.

- Physical fitness and stamina to perform loading and unloading tasks and operate heavy vehicles for extended periods.
