Overview

Bus drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers from one location to another on predefined routes. Duties

Driving Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate buses along designated routes, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Maintain control of the vehicle, including steering, accelerating, braking, and signaling.

Passenger Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, including assisting with boarding and disembarking.
  • Collect fares and issue tickets as required, ensuring accurate transactions and providing change when necessary.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, checking for mechanical issues, cleanliness, and safety hazards.
  • Enforce safety regulations and company policies to ensure the well-being of passengers and fellow road users.

Record Keeping and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of daily trips, including mileage, passenger counts, and any incidents or delays encountered.
  • Complete required paperwork, such as daily logs, inspection reports, and incident reports, in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Previous driving experience (preferably in passenger transport).
  • Good physical health and fitness.
  • Strong customer service skills.
