Overview
A barber is responsible for cutting, styling, and grooming hair, as well as performing facial hair maintenance such as shaving, trimming beards, and shaping mustaches. Duties
Haircutting and Styling
- Provide haircuts to clients based on their preferences, current trends, or classic styles.
- Offer recommendations on suitable hairstyles based on face shape, lifestyle, and personal preferences.
- Perform various hair cutting techniques (e.g., fades, tapers, trims, scissor cuts, clippers).
Shaving and Facial Hair Maintenance
- Offer straight razor shaves, beard trimming, and mustache shaping.
- Advise clients on facial hair grooming and maintenance.
Client Consultation
- Discuss client needs and desired outcomes before starting services.
- Suggest suitable grooming products for aftercare.
Customer Service
- Create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for clients.
- Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Handle customer concerns and feedback professionally.
Sanitation and Hygiene
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation and tools.
- Follow local health and safety regulations to ensure hygiene standards.
- Regularly disinfect razors, clippers, scissors, and other tools.
Retail Sales
- Recommend grooming products such as hair gels, pomades, shampoos, and beard oils.
- Upsell additional services like hair treatments or beard conditioning.
Record Keeping
- Maintain a record of clients’ preferred styles and haircuts for future visits.
- Manage appointment schedules and handle walk-ins efficiently.
Continuous Learning

Qualifications:
