Duties
Asphalt Laying
- Asphalt Workers are responsible for the application and installation of asphalt mixtures. They prepare the surface, pour the asphalt, and use tools and machinery to spread, smooth, and compact the material to create a durable surface.
Surface Preparation
Before laying asphalt, workers must prepare the work area by removing debris, existing pavement, and any obstacles. They may also grade the surface to ensure proper drainage and prevent future damage.
Operating Equipment
- Workers operate various equipment, including asphalt pavers, rollers, and compactors. Proper training and adherence to safety protocols are essential for the safe operation of heavy machinery.
Mixing and Testing
